Pipelines & Deals#
Create a deal#
Go to CRM → Deals, select New deal, and enter the title, pipeline, stage, owner, value, currency, and expected close date. A company is optional. Add one or more existing customer contacts so proposals and invoices can be prefilled later.
Required custom fields are validated on the server. A deal cannot reference a company, contact, owner, stage, tag, or lost reason from another organization.
Move a deal#
In CRM → Pipeline, drag a card to another stage. Keyboard and touch users can use the stage selector on the card instead. Both paths use the same guarded stage-move operation and create a permanent stage-history entry.
Moving between ordinary stages keeps the deal open. Marking a deal Won or Lost is an explicit status change. A lost deal requires one of your configured lost reasons.
Archived stages remain in historical records but cannot receive new moves. Hanko requires active deals to be moved or archived before their stage can be archived, and blocks changing a populated stage between open, won, and lost outcome types.
Activities and next actions#
Open a deal to schedule a call, meeting, email, message, demo, follow-up, or general task. Assign it to an organization member and set a due time. Completing an activity retains its outcome and completion timestamp.
The next incomplete activity appears on the deal and its pipeline card. Past-due work is marked overdue. Add notes for durable context that is not a scheduled task.
Proposals, invoices, and payments#
Use Create proposal or Create invoice on the deal detail page. The form is prefilled from the deal but remains editable before saving. The deal timeline then shows proposal status, invoice status, total, amount paid, outstanding amount, recorded payments, and supported payment transactions.
Admins can also link an existing proposal or invoice after Hanko verifies that both records belong to the same organization.
